Wash the Tail
Wash the tail using a safe, horse specific shampoo, free from silicons for best results. Conditioner or sprays will make the tail slippery which is harder to plait tightly.
Cut a Section of the Tail
Cut a piece of tail hair as long as possible, just above the bottom of the dock. Ideally a section about one-two fingers thick. Secure with a rubberband.
Packaging the hair
Pop hair into an envelope or snap-lock bag, named. Leave as it, please do not plait it.
